The 2024 ND Planning Association Conference is being held in conjunction with the ND League of Cities Annual Conference. This event, held the day before NDLC events kick off, aims to showcase various housing efforts across the state as well as other training opportunities.

Opticos Design
Opticos Design is well known as the architects of the Missing Middle Housing movement. In 2010, Opticos Principal Dan Parolek coined the term. Since then, the firm published a book and free online resource, missingmiddlehousing.com to serve as resources for communities to learn about and enable these housing types. Opticos Design has worked with dozens of public agencies, including Cities and Counties, to remove barriers and enable Missing Middle Housing as well as with private developers to design and build missing middle housing types in both infill and greenfield applications.
